The process involves scanning your passport, providing a facial scan, and answering personal questions. The ETA costs £10 (approximately $12) and is typically approved within three working days. Once granted, the ETA is valid for two years and allows multiple entries into the UK for stays up to six months for purposes such as tourism, family visits, business meetings, conferences, or short-term study.

It’s important to note that holding an ETA does not guarantee entry into the UK; travelers must still clear border control upon arrival. Additionally, certain travelers, such as those with a valid UK visa or legal residency, are exempt from the ETA requirement.
